Peter Jagers visits CML

Professor Peter Jagers is visiting the CML from 4 to 17 october 2009.

Peter Jagers is world-famous for his research on mathematical models of invasion,  stochastic population growth and extinction. He is Professor in Mathematical Statistics at Chalmers University (Gothenburg, Sweden), First Vice President of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Dr. h.c. of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and until 2007 he was president of the Bernoulli Society

During this  visit he collaborates with Patsy Haccou on the application of branching process models in adaptive dynamics.
